Proverbs 3:9-10

Honour the Lord with your substance, and with the firstfruits of all thine increase: So shall your barns be filled with plenty, and thy presses shall burst out with new wine.

It is important to understand based on the above Scripture that Obeying God in giving is engaging in a spiritual Transaction. Whatever you give to God here on earth is received by God in heaven, hence committing heaven to respond on your behalf.  We see in time of Noah when Noah gave an offering God smelled a soothing aroma in heaven and reversed the curse  Gen 8:20-22. We also seen the same with Abraham when he obeyed God in offering Isaac, God vowed to bless Abraham indeed Gen 22:13-19. The same with king David after he offered the sacrifice  God Himself stopped the plague 2 Sam 24:24-25. So by giving to God and His cause on earth you are adding value to your life. Do it willingly and cheerfully 2 Corinthians 9:6-7, and the heaven will be open for you in Jesus Precious Name!
